Genealogy

Aside from time spent at ACCC, I have been researching family genealogy for more than 25 years. So far I have traced part of my family back to A.D. 1166 England.

Picture of Cobb tombstone
This is the most unique tombstone that I have ever seen, as it was handmade from a section of marble from a bureau top. It still stands in an old churchyard at Pleasant Mills, NJ. Constant Cobb, Sr., my 4th great grandfather, worked as an ice cutter to provide "refrigeration" for the inhabitants of Batsto Village in the 1800s. My genealogical searches have brought history alive and yielded diverse, unexpected results. I have found that I am related to farmers, crafters, leaders of various religions, and politicians. Since the 17th century, my ancestors came to the United States from many countries, and they have taken part in important historical events.
