Directions for Installing the Acrobat PDF Reader:
Some course content in ACCC's online courses is saved as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. In order to view these files, you will need to download the Acrobat Reader, a small file that will be installed on your computer and helps your web browser view the PDF files. You can check to see if the Acrobat Reader is already installed on your computer by clicking "Start" and then "Programs" and then looking for "Acrobat Reader."

To download the Acrobat PDF reader, follow these directions:

  1. Click on the icon labeled "Download the Acrobat PDF Reader."
  2. You will be asked to save this to your hard drive.
  3. Pick a folder that you will remember, or just save it to your desktop.
  4. After it downloads (it may take a few minutes depending on the speed of your modem and your computer) close your browser and go find the file.
  5. Double-click on this file to install it. (Follow the prompts on the screen.)
  6. After it fully installs, start up your browser again and log into your course.
  7. You should now be able to view any course content in ACCC's online courses that is saved as PDF files.
