Become A Beacon Booster
Here's your opportunity to light the way for arts and education by joining this special fund-raising project. As a participating organization, you can raise money for scholarships, books or academic programs through the purchase of a lighthouse and its sale at auction.

Eligible Organizations
Participants must be a school or arts organization or a group that dedicates a portion of its budget to support arts or education.

Purchasing a lighthouse
Cost of the lighthouse is $2,895, which includes the design, mold and making of each fiberglass lighthouse, painting/creating of the one-of-a-kind art work by a local artist, cost for transporting of the lighthouse from the factory to the warehouse and display sites, storage, concrete slab for display, and security for the public event. (Obtaining insurance coverage, if desired, is the responsibility of the participating organization.)

Auction of lighthouses
After being on display in Atlantic and Cape May counties throughout the summer, the lighthouses will be brought together for a public event, dinner and an auction at which art lovers can bid on the finished pieces.

Benefits to your Organization
Participating educational and arts organizations receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their lighthouse when it is auctioned off at the end of the festival. Other participating organizations will receive 75% of the proceeds from the sale for educational or arts related activities. The remaining 25% will go to the ACCC Foundation to support scholarships and educational initiatives.

Organizations who take part will be publicized in the brochures and on the college website advertising the festival. Tourism councils from both counties will provide additional promotion of the event. Thousands of people are expected to read about the event and tour the sites where the lighthouses are displayed.

Participating organizations can select a theme for their lighthouse, which will build excitement and interest in the project.

Educational groups can use the project to enhance the curriculum in the areas of coastal heritage, art or history.
